Designation recognizes Vizient-contracted products that bring improvement to healthcare industr y.
Danvers, MA – October 28, 2026 – Samsung Healthcare announces its R20 Ultrasound System has received an Innovative Technology designation for from Vizient® the largest healthcare performance improvement company in the country. Samsung exhibited the R20 at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange September 24 in Las Vegas.
As part of the Innovative Technology program, healthcare experts who serve on Vizient’s client-led councils evaluate select products and technologies for their potential to strengthen clinical care, patient and workforce safety and the operational performance of healthcare organizations. Products that receive the Innovative Technology designation are previously contracted solutions identified as having the potential to positively impact patient care and healthcare organizations’ business operations.
Samsung Healthcare’s R20 is the flagship ultrasound system for general imaging, delivering exceptional diagnostic clarity while making image acquisition as effortless as possible. Powered by a new imaging engine and advanced AI and automated technologies, R20 helps reduce variability across users and expand clinical confidence. Supporting comfortable scanning, the R20’s ergonomic design has been independently tested and shown to meet or exceed 100% of ergonomic standards.
